Munich
Munich is the capital of Bavaria and the third largest town in Germany. As many technology companies are represented here, the city is often called the Bavarian “Silicon Valley”. It is the home of many of our partners and customers, including BMW, Siemens AG, Rohde & Schwarz GmbH, Red Hat and Yahoo! Deutschland GmbH. The city is also featuring two of Germany's largest and most famous universities.
The exciting city is filled with culture, art and music. You will find several great museums, featuring one of the world's largest exhibition for science and technology ("Deutsches Museum"), and the music scene offers some of Europe's most established orchestras, operas and stages for today's international artists. For relaxing, there is always a nice atmosphere in the beer gardens, green parks, numerous cafés, shops and bars throughout the city.
Each year, millions of visitors from around the world come to Munich for the famous "Oktoberfest", the world's largest beer festival. Enjoy the traditional Bavarian cuisine, Munich beer and hospitality.
For those who prefer the outdoors, the city is surrounded by beautiful recreational areas and lakes. You will find many places for excursions, like the fabulous castle Neuschwanstein, and the alps (incl. Germany's highest mountain) are not far away, which gives you the opportunity for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
