Netflix Player by Roku Utilizes Qt from Trolltech to Provide On-demand Digital Media

Trolltech® announced today that Roku, Inc., an innovator in digital media streaming technology, has utilized Qt for Embedded Linux® in its newly released Netflix Player by Roku™. The Netflix Player by Roku is a device that enables Netflix subscribers to instantly stream a growing library of movies and TV episodes from Netflix directly to the TV and the Netflix Player by Roku promises consumers ease of use and simplicity without a high cost. Qt for Embedded Linux, formerly known as Qtopia® Core, is Trolltech’s leading application framework for single-purpose devices powered by embedded Linux.

Trolltech today released Qt 4.3.5 to commercial customers and the open source community. Qt 4.3.5 is a maintenance release intended for use by customers who need to use the 4.3 series. Qt is the standard framework for high-performance cross-platform application development, and Qt Embedded (formerly called Qtopia Core) is the leading application framework for single-purpose devices powered by embedded Linux. Both releases are available for customer use and open source download.

Trolltech Delivered Revenues of NOK 55.6 Million

Trolltech® announced the financial results for the first quarter 2008. Trolltech ASA generated revenues of NOK 55.6 million in the first quarter, which constitutes a year-over-year revenue growth of 15.5 percent. There has been a positive sales trend in Q1 driven by the sales of the Qt® application framework and Qtopia® software.

QtCentre Programming Contest 2008

QtCentre launced the second edition of the Qt Programming Contest, the only programming contest focused on the Qt®/ Qtopia® community. Trolltech delivered revenues of NOK 218 million in 2007

Trolltech® announced the financial results for the fourth quarter 2007. Trolltech ASA generated revenues of NOK 57 million in the fourth quarter 2007. Full year revenue growth was up with 25 percent. The growth was primarily driven by the sales of the Qt® and Qtopia® software.
